Pay transparency and Gender equality
PAY TRANSPARENCY
EU Directive 2023/970 on Pay Transparency introduces new obligations for all companies aimed at demonstrating the fairness of their remuneration systems. Its objectives are transparency and the ability to justify company salary decisions consistently, based on objective and verifiable criteria.
In this specific area, GTA Law Firm assists companies with:
- analysing the company’s structure and the criteria adopted for salary allocation;
- developing appropriate internal remuneration policies;
- implementing an internal management system that enables continuous monitoring of the gender pay gap;
- promptly identifying any necessary corrective measures;
- training staff on the content of the legislation (rights and obligations).
GENDER EQUALITY
The Reference Practice UNI/PdR 125:2022 defines a Gender Equality Management System aimed at promoting an inclusive workplace that guarantees equal rights, treatment, responsibilities, opportunities, and economic and social outcomes for women and men, in line with Goal 5 of the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
The objective is to initiate a process of cultural change within companies and, more broadly, within society, in order to achieve greater gender equality by overcoming stereotypes, inequalities, and discrimination.
Upon achieving the objectives set out by the practice, companies may obtain the relevant certification, which offers various economic, reputational, and organisational advantages.
In this specific area, GTA Law Firm supports companies throughout the process aimed at obtaining the above certification, offering assistance with:
- analysing the company’s organisation;
- identifying a Steering Committee within the company’s governance;
- formalising a strategic plan;
- assisting in the definition of internal and external communication policies and plans;
- training staff on UNI/PdR 125:2022 in order to promote a culture of gender equality;
- assisting during the monitoring of company performance in preparation for periodic reviews.
WORK-LIFE BALANCE
The recent Reference Practice UNI/PdR 192:2026 on work–life balance, promoted by the Department for Family Policies of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, aims to provide operational guidelines to support organisations in implementing inclusive and responsible corporate policies.
It provides guidelines to help companies become more attentive to parenting (maternity and paternity), support for caregiving responsibilities, work–life balance, equal opportunities, and organisational wellbeing.
The document defines requirements and recommendations and provides for a third-party conformity assessment process aimed at certification.
GTA Law Firm assists companies throughout this process, offering the consultancy required from time to time for the preparation of the documentation necessary to implement the management system and obtain the above certification.
